TrainText Commands

We've created a few special commands you can use to get additional information beyond station train arrivals. See below for the current list of commands.

Command Matching Searches Description
Help help, ?, /? Get a bite-sized primer on how to use the TrainText twitterbot.
Contact Info contact, police, call, phone Phone numbers for BART police, information, lost & found and website URL
Service Advisry Alerts svc, service, alert, delay, service alert, service delays... Train delays, station closures and the like.
Elevator Service elev, elevator, elevators Lets you know if there are any station elevators out of service.

Station Searches

Save your thumbs! Don't type the whole word, you can match most of your stations by spelling out the beginning of one major word.

For instance "embarc" or "embar" match for the Embarcadero station. You don't have to type out the whole "embarcadero" word! "Lafay" matches "Lafayette" just like "Mill" matches the "Millbrae" station.
